About Us

At the heart of Skye Confections, is Michele Holmes, a native of Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up, the time spent with her grandmother at the family soul-food restaurant and home kitchen sparked an interest in baking. While pursuing a career in education, Michele has continued to be drawn to baking. Since 2011, this self-taught baker/decorator and aspiring bakery boutique owner has perfected a variety of techniques with her fresh homemade cakes as the foundation. Today, Michele is known as a Bakerator. She balances a career as an “educator by day, baker by night”. Her passion for cake is evident as she strives to create custom and modern desserts which taste just as good as they look.

Skye Confections is a business with a heart for people. In addition to providing sweets for the homeless in Orlando, Skye Confections recently partnered with Icing Smiles, a non-profit organization that provides custom celebration cakes to children impacted by a critical illness. We believe every person has at least one reason to celebrate and deserves a quality cake.
